Throughout his career in human resources, Steve has been focused on helping organizations acquire, coach and develop leaders. As his career progressed, he served in leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Amoco/BP, Frito-Lay, MagneTek, Russell Corporation and ultimately as Chief Human Resources Officer at ClientLogic, a 17,000-employee global services company.

Those experiences gave Steve deep insights into both the day-to-day and longer-term challenges facing organizations — and more importantly, the impact that having the right individuals in leadership positions can have on an organization’s teams and overall performance.

In 2000, Steve founded The Human Capital Group, with a paradigm-breaking model based on Speed, Quality and Value. Originally focused primarily on executive search, the organization has grown organically as a leading executive search and leadership advisory firm. As the Senior Partner, Steve has served many executives and organizations as they seek to Find, Strengthen and Grow leadership talent for a variety of functions and industries. In addition, he is a sought-after consultant and executive coach to leaders facing a myriad of organizational and cultural challenges and opportunities.

A graduate of Louisiana State University, Steve and his wife Adrienne live in Brentwood, Tennessee. They are blessed with five children and three grandchildren.
